Abhiishek Mohta (born 25 July 1993) is an Indian actor and Casting Director. Abhiishek married Vani Mohta on 23rd January 2024[1]. He made his acting debut with a leading role in the Music Video Tu Hai Wahi [2](2021) starring Shezali Sharma, and went on to appear in such videos as Pyar Mein Tere Dooba Raha[3] (2024).
In 2017, he assisted Award Winning Bollywood screenwriter, Aryan Saha for six months before working as Intern Creative for Bollywood Movie Veere Di Wedding [4](2018).
Abhiishek has worked for OML Entertainment as a Casting Director.[5] He has also worked with several other production houses such as; Essel Vision, Seven Horse Production, Suraj Singh Mas Films, Alt Balaji, etc.
He has casted for many TVC Advertisements with popular celebrities; and has also worked for several short films, Music videos, Web Series.
In 2019, Mohta was among the Top 10 Indian Contemporary Romance Authors for his Novel Once Upon Us (2019).
Mohta ventured into film production with the upcoming Romantic film, And You[6] (2024) starring Popular Actress Ahsaas Channa, set to be released in Diwali 2024. He has since Co produced an upcoming short film named Everyday Is A Women’s Day (2024) and an upcoming Amazon Mini TV Series with Producer Sweta Jyotii and Suraj Singh Mas.
Early life
[edit]Abhiishek Mohta was born in Delhi, India on 25 July 1993 into a Marwari Baniya family hailing from Rajasthan. His father and mother have a Real Estate Business. After getting admission for the BSC degree from IGNOU University Delhi, he dropped out of college to pursue acting.
Abhiishek lied to his parents before leaving for Mumbai that he got a job as a Bollywood screenwriter. Whereas, after coming to Mumbai, around six months he was living in a slum, sharing a small room with two roommates; and was looking for a job in the film industry.
During his struggling period, Mohta switched many jobs in several fields. He has worked as Call Centre Executive, he has sold policies, he has worked as Fashion Intern, he has worked as Watchman and even worked in a boutique as Salesman. Later, he met Aryan Saha one day in Prithvi Cafe, Juhu who gave him the opportunity to become his writing assistant.
