Abraham Norman Nortey is a Ghanaian public health advocate, medical student, researcher, and community leader known for his significant contributions to public health, leadership, and community service.

Early life and education

Abraham Norman Nortey was born and raised in Ghana. He began his higher education journey with a degree in Medical Biochemistry[1] and further enhanced his academic qualifications with studies in Public Health and Business Administration. Currently, Nortey is pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) School of Medical Sciences.[2]

Career and contributions

Nortey has held numerous leadership roles throughout his academic career, demonstrating a strong commitment to service and advocacy. Notably, he served as the President of the Ghana Association of Medical Biochemistry Students and the National Health Students' Association of Ghana (NAHSAG[3]). His leadership skills and dedication to community service earned him the prestigious Kofi Annan Youth Inspirational Award.

In addition to his leadership roles, Nortey has shown a profound commitment to philanthropy. He has funded the education of ten university students,[4][5] underscoring his dedication to supporting the academic pursuits of others.
