Aethon Books is a creator-driven independent press.[1] They are primarily a publisher of science fiction and fantasy ebooks and audiobooks, but have recently expanded into webcomics. [1][2][3][4]
History[edit]
Aethon Books was founded in 2018 by co-owners IPPY award-winning author Steve Beaulieu[5] and Nebula Award-nominated author Rhett C. Bruno. [2][6] They currently publish over 700 books including several international best-sellers. [7][8] Their library is primarily Gamelit/LitRPG, with some traditional fantasy, science fiction, westerns, thrillers, and other genres.[6][9]
They are based out of New Suffolk, New York, United States of America.[10]

Notable creators associated with Aethon include Lou Diamond Phillips, Felica Day, Larry Correia, Zogarth, Shirtaloon, J.F Brink, Seth Ring, and Matt Dinniman.[6] [11][12]
Awards and Nominations[edit]
Rhett C. Bruno’s Roach received multiple awards including the 2020 Independent Audiobook Award for best thriller/suspense, and the 2020 Best Indie Book Award for action/adventure. [1]
Rick Partlow’s Direct Fire was Nominated for a Dragon Award in 2021.[13]
Lou Diamond Phillip’s The Tinderbox: Soldier of Indira was nominated for Best Young Adult/Middle Grade Novel for the 2021 Dragon Awards, and was a finalist in Science Fiction for the Independent Audiobook Awards in 2021.[13][14]
Matthew P. Gilbert’s Dead God’s Due was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2019.[15]

Aethon announced a collaboration with Webtoon starting in 2024.
Webtoon is adapting fourteen series in a vertical scrolling format. Titles include The Primal Hunter, Dungeon Crawler Carl, and RE:Trailer Trash. [3]
VoyceMe[edit]
Aethon announced a collaboration with VoyceMe starting in 2024.
VoyceMe is adapting six series to webcomic format including Chrysalis, and Tree of Aeons. [4]
Laurel Pursuit[edit]
Aethon announced a collaboration with Laurel Pursuit in 2023.
Laurel Pursuit is adapting eight series to webcomic format including, Defiance of the Fall, System Universe, and All The Skills.[16]
Vault Comics[edit]
Aethon announced a partnership with Vault Comics in 2023.
Vault will publish comic and graphic novel adaptations from Aethon’s authors, while Aethon will provide audiobook and ebook adaptations for Vault’s collection. [1][2] Recent announced titles include He Who Fights With Monsters. [7]
TV & Film[edit]
Gilbert Adler and Joel Eisenberg signed a first-look deal for Rhett C. Bruno's Roach in 2021.[17]
