The Aimeliik State Legislature is the unicameral legislature of Aimeliik, one of Palau's sixteen states. The legislature is composed of nine elected members, four elected at-large and one for each of the state's five hamlets.[1][2] Members are elected for four-year terms.[3]

The legislature is granted significant authority from the state constitution, including the power to impeach the state governor and override the governor's veto by a three-fourths majority vote.[1][2]

In addition to the legislature, the six traditional chiefs of Aimeliik are organized in the extra-legislative Aimeliik State Council of Traditional Chiefs. The chiefs maintain authority over the administration of public land and can disapprove of all legislation other than appropriations.[1][2]
