Aizu Samurai Residences is a museum where you can experience the history, culture and spirit of the Aizu domain through historical buildings, relics and experiences. The approximately 23,000m2 site is home to a restored residence of Aizu domain elder Saigo Tanomo, a jin'ya (camp hut), a teahouse and various museums, allowing you to imagine the lifestyle and way of life of people at that time. There are also facilities for shopping (Go Kobo Kokon) and dining (Kuyotei). You can also enter the stores directly from the parking lot. [1]

The original samurai mansion on this site burnt down in 1868 & has been reconstructed for visitors.[2]
