Draft:Aknandun

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aknandun (translation: The Only Son) is a story in verse by Samad Mir about a king and a queen, who have seven daughters and are desperate to have a son. The seven daughters also long for a brother.[1] The couple is visited by a Jogi (a sage) who grants their wish for a son on a condition that the couple should return the child to the Jogi when he turns twelve.[2]
