Alan Wake is an upcoming psychological horror television series, based on the video game of the same name.

Premise[edit]

Author Alan Wake works to solve the mystery of his wife's disappearance while they are on vacation in the town of Bright Falls, Washington.

Production[edit]

Development on a television series based on the video game was first announced in September 2018, with Peter Calloway set to serve as showrunner and Sam Lake, one of the game's creators, serving as executive producer.[1]

In May 2022, Lake announced the series was in the works at AMC.[2] In June, it was revealed Calloway exited due to scheduling conflicts, and Jon Jashni and Jim Ludwig joined the production as executive producers.[3]
