Submission declined on 9 December 2023 by WikiOriginal-9 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Alejandro Jose Baraona, best known as Ále Baraona (born January 12 2006) is a Colombian-American Electrical and Computer Engineering student at Northeastern University, entrepreneur, and Student Staff for the College of Engineering's Center for STEM Education. [1] He is a 2023 HSF Scholar.
Early life[edit]
Baraona was born on January 12, 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida to a Colombian mother and Salvadorian father. He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his two brothers, mother, and stepfather. [2]
Baraona attended Lake Travis High School, and graduated a year early with distinction, qualifying for National Merit in the process. [3]
He is also the grandson of the late notable Colombian radio pioneer Bernardo Tobón de la Roche.
Career[edit]
While enrolled in high school, Baraona conducted oral cancer research through Class II medical devices at Vigilant Biosciences, a local biomedical startup; this early exposure, combined with his stepfather's engineering influence, inspired him to pursue engineering despite no prior inclination at Northeastern University on a scholarship. [4]
At Northeastern, Baraona has been conducting undergraduate engineering research through the College of Engineering's UPLIFT Program, and independently alongside fellow EECE student Kshema Karanam through their neural technology startup SarvaNeuro; reflexive of the pair's roots and interests in the nervous system.
He currently has intentions conducting biomedical imaging research this May in Santiago, Chile after being accepted into one of Northeastern's Dialogue of Civilizations programs.
