Ali Farmani (Born on November 24, 1986 in Shiraz) is a director, documentary filmmaker, sound recorder, and writer.

Career and Personal Life[edit]

Before entering university, he acted in a TV series. After one year of studying, he left university and continued his acting career in theater and television. After a while, he shifted to working as a sound recorder in a cinema and continued his activities in this field.

Ali Farmani attended a gathering for the victims on January 12, 2020, in Ma'aliabad, Shiraz, where he was arrested.[1][2][3]

  • Nominee for Best Sound Recording at the Reality Cinema for the film "Ali Agha"[9]in 2016.[10][11]
  • Nominee for Best Sound Recording at the Independent Documentary Celebration for the film "None of Your Business " in 2018.
  • Participation in the IDFA[12] Festival in Amsterdam, competing in the documentary category for the film "Ali Agha" in 2017.
