Alpian SA[edit]
Alpian SA is a Swiss digital private bank, recognized as Switzerland's first digital private bank. It was incubated by REYL Intesa Sanpaolo and incorporated in October 2019. Alpian received a banking license from Switzerland’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in March 2022.
Strategic Collaboration[edit]
In May 2022, Alpian and Fideuram – Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking (Fideuram-ISPB) entered into a strategic collaboration to advance the digital wealth management offering for Fideuram-ISPB's clients. This partnership followed Fideuram-ISPB's CHF 19 million equity investment in Alpian during its Series B+ financing round in April 2022. The collaboration aims to leverage Alpian’s expertise in technology development and mobile-first user experience for digital wealth management services.[1]
Alpian Pulse[edit]
Alpian introduced "Alpian Pulse," a service targeting the under-26 demographic, combining investments and wealth management with unique features for a modern banking experience. Key features include a 100-franc voucher for trendy sneakers and streetwear, a free metal debit card, and a curated Spotify playlist. The service is free for two years for the 18-26 age group.[2]
Updated Interest Rates[edit]
As of October 1, 2023, Alpian Pulse offers updated interest rates to enhance monthly returns for different deposit amounts:
- 1% interest on deposits from CHF 1 to CHF 50,000
- 1.5% interest on deposits from CHF 50,001 to CHF 1,000,000[3][4]
Recognition in Digital Banking[edit]
Alpian has been acknowledged for its digitalization and customer experience in Switzerland’s retail banking sector, ranking 4th in Colombus Consulting’s Digital Index and Performance study in June 2023. The bank is noted for its web user experience and mobile app functionality.[5]
Business Model and Strategic Growth[edit]
Alpian targets Swiss clients with assets between CHF 100,000 and CHF 1 million, offering a hybrid model of private banking and investment expertise. The bank's strategic collaborations, such as with Visa, indicate its commitment to democratizing private banking in Switzerland.[6]
Leadership and Vision[edit]
Founded by tech and finance experts, including CEO Schuyler Weiss, Alpian bridges traditional and modern banking. Weiss led the company to significant milestones before resigning in September 2023. Gianmarco Bonaita was named as the interim leader, pending FINMA approval.[7]
