Al Safa Charitable Humanitarian Society is a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization that works in the humanitarian field. It was established in Kuwait on May 22, 2016, and primarily operates in the fields of education, relief, empowerment, development, culture, and human rights. The society provides its services to widows and orphans in Kyrgyzstan, and to needy migrants in Turkey and other countries.[1]
Establishment[edit]
Al Safa Charitable Humanitarian Society was founded on May 22, 2016, by ministerial decree (number 61/A) issued by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor at the time, Hind Al-Subaih.[2] The decree defined the powers of the society and the members of its board of directors, and its founding system was documented under the name "Al Safa Charitable Humanitarian Society".
Activities and Programs[edit]
The society focuses on several key areas including education, emergency relief, social and economic empowerment, developmental programs, in addition to cultural activities and supporting human rights. The society is distinguished by its non-discriminatory approach in providing assistance, targeting individuals regardless of race or color.
