Amanda Edirisinghe born on 6th September 1987 is a Sri Lankan professional Television presenter. grew up and raised in kandy city. Amanda received her primary and secondary education at Hillwood college kandy. Her tertiary academic excellence graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with a second class upper division award scoring high grade points from the open university one of the top ten universities in Sri Lanka. she also studied management at Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College Sri Lanka. She lived in Qatar Doha city , India Mumbai city and England London city due to professional obligations.

Her journey began at the age of seventeen years where she was offered her debut print shoot for a calendar which was for fitness kingdom and launched a gymnasium. At the age of nineteen years she won the 4th runner up title award of Miss Sri Lanka universe 2007 beauty pageant also won Kodak miss photogenic title award and miss best in evening gown title award where she gained popularity from. she is the only contestant who won three main titles from a single pageant respectively . She is a humanitarian who voluntarily works and hosts charity events for charity foundations and non profit organizations. She made her acting debut in Director Senaka Wijesinghe's teledrama series Digu sewanali as actress Kusum Renu's kidnapped onscreen daughter's role and acted in Swarnawahini ITI mal teledrama staring directed by Suranjan Wijenama she played the role as Roshel secretary of legendary actor Tissa wijesurendra. Amanda hosted Television show Rasata Rasak on Sirasa TV channel with singers Jayasri brothers. and host for the Colombo fashion show television show on Derana TV channel. She is the face for more than twenty five TV commercials and brand endorsements such as Sunsilk shampoo, Crysbro chicken, Mobitel, Ritzbury chocolate, Srilankan Airlines, Astra, Formula plus insurance, HSBC, yes FM, SLT broad brand net, Signal, prima noodles, singer srilanka and current face of Siddhalepa brand Divya soap and shampoo product which is sold internationally in India's largest B2B marketplace Indiamart.com. she also appeared in several music videos singer Bachi susan's hit song channa kinnaravi etc. she also walked the ramp for many leading fashion designers and fashion consultants in Sri Lanka.

Her International level work began at the age of twenty three years she moved to India and lived there and appeared in TV commercials in India directed by Bollywood film director Raj Kaushal for the brand Hero Honda main brand sponsor for ICC cricket world cup in India. due to her language skills in Hindi language she was offered a Bollywood movie which she turned down after acting in it due to incompatibility of the role opposite well known veteran actors. and also appeared in a few print advertisements for Bollywood film producer Vijay.K.Ranglani and his family for a leading brand in India and did many interviews for times of India and Indian media channel NDTV.

Amanda is the niece of actor and executive producer of channel ITN Pran wakishta and grand niece of late film and teledrama award-winning legendary actress Chithra Wakishta who acted in south Asia's longest record breaking tele drama Kopi Kade and grand niece of film actor late Lloyd Wakishta and second cousin of child artist Senuri Wakishta.
