Applied Physics is a public benefit research institute that operates independently from any government or academic institution and is maintained by the scientific community.

On February 18, 2021, scientists at Applied Physics announced they constructed the first model of physical warp drives.

On April 5, 2024, Applied Physics announced Warp Factory, a numerical toolkit designed for modeling warp drive spacetimes.1 [1]
