Ashok Terkar is working for senior citizen welfare since 12 years- In December 2019 he arranged a state level convention in Nanded for senior citizens around 5000 seniors participated their�In March 2023 he arranged state level convention for womens] around 2000 women*s participated in convention- In his department of work] he taken initiative to give 2000 Ayushman Bharat cards- Arranged legal camps for seniors in rural areas as well as in city areas for seniors regarding legal laws and implementation rules 2007- He consider his work as duty to fulfill seniors demands by holding strikes] take out morchas] agitate for various demands of seniors] meet ministers give request letters to MLS and MP^s & try to get fulfill seniors demands- In Nanded he have established 4 virangula kendras ¼i-e- & the place where seniors can make their mind free for sometime½ in that government had given help of one crore- It's his great pleasure to work in this field for 12 years- Hence he have the desire to continue doing this things He sold his house to raise money to educate poor children and runs a organisation called Aryan shikshan prasarak mandal in which he does not charge any fees from poor students. working in the field since 12 years
Today the entire (fun centres) virangula kendras is being put to good use by senior citizens. There be comfortablely play games and chat (speak on national affairs) with each other. The take swings, discover their favourite arts and also have fun. As well as poor children's are taking education in my school without any fees. Most of the people after 60 years of age wants to leave retired life peacefully. However he feel this is an opportunity to serve needy and poor seniors and the work which is done by heart that is real satisfaction of his life and that is the reason why he is working for problems of senior citizens happily.
He has got some awards on district level like Mahatma Kabir Samantha parishad Nanded awarded Maharashtra Bhushan and jivan Gaurav award. MCA awarded a cricket cap during first test match of India versus Australia in 2017. Also a award is given by social justice and social welfare Nanded. and also he is recently nominated for padma award.
