G. August Gerber was a Socialist in the United States. He campaigned for a U.S. congressional seats. He was involved in advocating for the WEVD radio station.
His father Julius Gerber was also a Socialist. In 1928, August Gerber was Secretary of the Socialist Action Committee.[1][2]
In the 1930 election he received a small fraction of Democrat Sol Bloom's votes and Republican Julius D. Tobias (35,322, 14,919, and 2,357 respectively.[3]
