The Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH), formerly ANZPATH (Australian and New Zealand Professional Association for Transgender Health) is an Australian professional association that develops medical standards of care, provides educational resources and advocates for the treatment of transgender and gender diverse people who experience gender dysphoria.[4][5][6][7]

AusPATH was founded in 2009, and was formerly known as ANZPATH, before moving to a Australia-only focus starting in April 2019 after the launch of PATHA in New Zealand.[8] AusPATH is a member of LGBTIQ+ Health Australia.[9]

Organization[edit]

Membership[edit]

As of 2023, AusPATH currently has 514 members[10], including general practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists and providers from a range of other medical fields.[11]

Standards of Care[edit]

Since 31 March 2022[12], AusPATH has maintained and published its own standards of care[13] for gender affirming hormone therapy, based on a patient-provider informed consent model.[14][15]
