Biography

Aymane Hammou, born and raised in Figuig, Morocco, is a director and producer with a master's degree in filmmaking from the École Supérieure des Arts Visuels in Marrakech.[1][2] His debut short film, A Lamb, a Sheep and Ravens[3][4], was selected for prominent festivals,[5] including Vues d'Afrique[6] 2024 and the Amman International Film Festival[7] 2024. His first feature documentary project, FANNA, the Mother of Figuig, was chosen for the documentary writing residency "The Documentary Beehive."[8][9] He also contributed to the collective film Et Après ?, alongside renowned Moroccan filmmakers like Hicham Lasri, Asmae El Moudir, Daoud Aoulad-Syad, Mohcine Besri, and other emerging filmmakers. Aymane has worked as an assistant director on a variety of national and international films, TV series, and programs. In late 2023, he joined LA PROD[10][11] to start his journey as a creative producer.
