BE Residences originated from the group that built the successes of the only Filipino-owned cement manufacturer, Mabuhay Filcement Inc.,^[1] and the global furniture brand, Berben Wood. Over the years, the group established a strong presence in international relation and extended its reach into the hospitality industry in 2008 introducing BE Hotels and Resorts: BE Resort, Mactan, and BE Grand Resort.

Their penetration in the hospitality sector over the past decade prompted the family’s entry into property development in 2018: BE Residences.

As of 2024, the company has successfully turned over 5 key projects including 2 master planned developments in various stages of construction, branching out into their second brand, Balai by BE Residences
