This article is about the international energy & commodities trading company. For the currency of Bulgaria, see Bulgarian lev.
BGN is an international energy & commodities trading company that moves crude oil, petroleum products such as LPG (liquified petroleum gas), petrochemicals like ammonia, minerals, other commodities and carbon credits. It has key offices in Dubai and Geneva among its 23 locations worldwide.
The company was established by the Bayegan family and is run by Group CEO Ruya Bayegan. Its business activities span 120 countries with particular interests in the Middle East Gulf and Africa, where a portion of their financing comes from..[1]
Through joint ventures with Al Seer Marine of Abu Dhabi and Pertamina International Shipping of Indonesia[2] [3] it is adding new build gas carriers to its fleet. BGN increased its bet on LPG/ammonia by adding another pair of new ship orders from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in a deal worth around $236m[4]
