Bendy in Nightmare Run, sometimes referred to as Bendy Nightmare Run or simply Bendy Run, is an episodic endless runner mobile game developed by Karman Interactive Ltd. and published by Joey Drew Studios Inc.[1] It was developed as a spinoff to the Bendy franchise and the Indie episodic horror survival video game Bendy and the Ink Machine.[2] Unlike other games in the franchise, the game introduces Bendy as the protagonist rather than the danger. The game was released for IOS and Android devices in 2018.[3] The game is completely free,[4] coupled with microtransactions for additional purchases.[5] The game is currently unplayable due to technical limitations.

Gameplay

The game is centered around running from cartoon 'boss' enemies and attacking them with weapons ranging from damage. The player can also trade the game's currency, bacon soup cans, to upgrade their characters. The player can also buy skins and different playable characters such as Boris the Dog or Alice the Angel.[6] In stages, the selected protagonist runs towards the screen[7][8] and the player can swipe to control them. The player can pick up soup cans scattered throughout the level later used for goods.[8]

The game was developed by the company Karman Interactive Ltd. and published by Joey Drew Studios Inc.[1]

It was available for preorder around 2018[6] and the final version of the game was officially released for Google Play and App Store[9] on August 15th, 2018.

Reception

The game's reviews and critic scores were either mixed or positive. Critics saw the game as of fair quality[7][10][11] and reviews made by children or teenagers were often positive.
