Right now the best bet for showing that Reilly qualifies for an entry in Wikipedia would be to add things like magazine and newspaper articles about her—in-depth coverage in reliable, fact-checked secondary sources. Bergen Reilly (born May 26 2005) is an American volleyball player who is currently a setter at the University of Nebraska.[1]
Career[edit]
High School[edit]
Reilly played for O'Gorman High School, and won back-to-back state championships in 2020 and 2021. She was a three-time Gatorade South Dakota Player of the Year.[1] She was also a four-time all-state AA first-team selection for South Dakota.
College[edit]
Reilly enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in January 2023, one semester early, along with four other freshmen on the team.[2] She led the offence as a freshman, finishing the regular season with over 1000 assists[3]. Alongside her team, Reilly won the 2023 Big Ten Championship[4] and was a runner-up in the NCAA national championship in Tampa. She also played at Memorial Stadium for "Volleyball Day in Nebraska" which set the global attendance record for a women's sporting event.[5]
In her freshman season, she was selected as the Big Ten Setter of the Year. Reilly was the first-ever freshman to win this award.[3] In the Big Ten, Reilly was also named to the All-Conference First Team and All-Conference Freshman Team[6]. She was selected for the AVCA North all-region team alongside five of her teammates[7], and earned Second-Team All-American honours.
International[edit]
Reilly was called up to the U.S. Women’s National Team for the Pan American Final Six in 2022 where the team won a Silver medal. She appeared in 11 sets, making two starts.[1]
Reilly has played for the USA Volleyball Under-19 and Under-18 Girls Teams. In 2022, she won the Best Setter Award at the Pan-American Cup, where the team won Gold. She was also a part of the 2021 Girls Team which won Bronze at the FIVB U19 World Championship that year.[8]
