BetterDiscord is a software modification made for the Discord social platform. BetterDiscord was originally a fork of Jiiks' BetterDiscordApp[citation needed] but has since become the main project. It is currently maintained by Zerebos and has a team of 150+ Developers creating add-ons for it[3]

Client Modifications allow users to download plugins and Themes to customize their experience on Discord. As of writing, BetterDiscord has over 200 plugins and over 100 themes.

Injection[edit]

The Discord Desktop application is built using the JavaScript library Electron and there have been many previously used methods of injecting arbitrary code into it. This is usually accomplished by overwriting files inside of the application bundle or Discord's native node modules.
