Big Tree is an upcoming film based on the book of the same name by Brian Selznick, based on an idea from Steven Spielberg and Chris Meledandri. In the book, two sycamore seeds named Merwin and Louise try to save the world while finding a safe harbor for themselves after leaving their Mama Tree. It is "a story about nature from nature's point of view", as described by Selznick, and spans the prehistoric age to modern times.[1] The book was published on April 4, 2023 and features almost 300 black-and-white illustrations. A release date for the Illumination film has not been announced.
