Draft:Binta Ann
Binta Ann (born 1975) is a Guinean educator, writer, and activist.
She received the 2017 Franco-German Human Rights Prize, and the 2018 Guinean Woman of the Year, for social and humanitarian work.[1]
Life[edit]
She studied modern literature in Guinea and France. She obtained a master's degree in preschool and elementary education, in New Jersey.
She returned to Guinea, and taught at the American International School of Conakry , then at the Lycée Français de Conakry. She worked at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in the democracy and governance department .[2]
In 2008, Binta Ann founded the Fonbale humanitarian foundation. The Fonbale foundation works for the well-being of deprived women and children. [3]
