Comment: Most of the sources are not reliable: YouTube, blogs, press releases, Forbes (see WP:FORBESCON). Others are interviews or affiliated with her which are primary sources and not independent so cannot be used to establish notability. Using such sources also leads to a non-neutral article because they are based largely on what she or those affiliated say/have written. S0091 (talk) 16:44, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

Bridgett Artise is an American fashion designer, author, advocate and professor in the field of sustainable fashion. [1] She is the founder of Born Again Vintage (BAV), a clothing label that creates original designs from upcycled and vintage materials. She is also the owner of, House of BAV,[2] a boutique and collective studio in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she sells her creations and other sustainable brands. The store is the first of its kind for an outlet mall.[3] The store features workshops on upcycling, beginners sewing, and community awareness events.
Teaching and Advocacy[edit]
Artise is an adjunct professor and creator of Sustainable Fashion courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, where she created the first course on sustainable upcycling and clothing reconstruction in 2010.[4] [5] She is also the founder of Sustainable Fashion Week US, an annual event that showcases ethical and eco-friendly designers, and student designers from around the world.[6] Sustainable Fashion Week US has put on shows across the US/World including: Manhattan NY[7], Brooklyn NY, Philadelphia PA, Chicago IL, Richmond VA, Atlantic City NJ, Winston-Salem NC.
Author and Board Member[edit]
Artise has published a book titled Born Again Vintage: 25 Ways to Deconstruct, Reinvent and Recycle Your Wardrobe, which offers practical tips and inspiration for upcycling old clothes into new styles.[8] Artise's mission is to educate people about the environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry and to empower them to express their creativity through upcycling.[9] To that end, Artise is the first black female board member of, Materials for the Arts, NYC’s largest creative reuse center.[10]
Sustainability: Speaker, Expert, Panelist & Moderator[edit]
In addition to her design work and teaching, Artise is also a speaker [11] [12], expert [13] [14] [15] and panelist & moderator [16] [17] on sustainable fashion topics. She has participated in various events and platforms such as StyleWeek Northeast[18],[19] Global Council for the Promotion of International Trade,[20] and has also lectured at Rutgers University,[16] St. John’s University, IFA Paris, the University of Ljbubjana Slovenia and the University of North Hampton UK.
