Charity work and sponsorship
[edit]Business Waste sponsored Kevin Sinfield’s 7 in 7 in 7 challenge to raise funds in aid of the MND Association[10]. Business Waste Ltd also has a key partnership with York RLFC[11].
In January 2024 the company offered 250,000 free bins to businesses in Wales to help them comply with new recycling regulations in the country[12].
PR campaigns
[edit]Business Waste Ltd has featured in many media publications in the United Kingdom and internationally through its PR campaigns. These include a Valentine’s Day campaign where people could name a bin after their ex[13], accepting Bitcoin to pay for bin collections[14], and claiming overfilled bins from hospitality venues led to an increase in rats, meaning binmen hate Mondays the most[15].
