CMKobeVanvuchelen 'CMKobeVanvuchelen' was the last username of the unknown chess maverick who was active on the most popular chess playing site chess.com until 2022.
FIDE Rating CMKobeVanvuchelen started playing in April 2017, under the name 'Kovana3515'. This account got banned in June 2018 because of to many reports (cursing in chat). He than got banned another 2 times for account phishing on recognized FIDE players and again for cursing. By this time he had won 19 open tournaments and had an online FIDE rating of 1871, which gave him the titel of Candidate Master. After creating his last known account, he played until an all time highest of 2078 rating. This rating is extremely rare for players who don't run in ranked games. Analyses showed a potential of 2300 in online ranked games. His win rate in tournaments was 97.71%, 95.02% in ranked online games and 75% in friendly matches.
Final Ban The lead up to his final ban was an online tournament in 2022. This tournament was highly watched and very important for streaming content. After reaching the final off the tournament, CMKobeVanvuchelen left to game after 2 moves, leaving all kind of streamers without content. This led to many frustrated content creators, who demanded a punishment for CMKobeVanvuchelen. Because of the rules and conditions, it is impossible to get banned for leaving a single game. When he later cursed again in chat, chess.com permanently banned the still unknown CMKobeVanvuchelen. The account 'CMKobeVanvuchelen' is till this day the only remaining proof of this chess boycotter ever existing. The reason why he left the final game is fairly simpel. He had accused someone of cheating a while ago, but no response came to this. This led to CMKobeVanvuchelen being angry and therefore boycotting the tournament's final.
