From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carl Runefelt (born in September 1994)[1] is a Swedish entrepreneur, investor, singer, musician, and cryptocurrency enthusiast.[1] He rose to fame for his early Bitcoin acquisitions and for posting crypto market analysis on his YouTube channel. He is also a supporter of Down Syndrome charities.[2]

Early life[edit]

Runefelt was born on September 5, 1994, in Stockholm, Sweden.[1] He worked as a cashier at a grocery store before dropping out of school and investing his life savings in Bitcoin.[3]

Career[edit]

He moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to pursue a career in the crypto industry.[4] Carl Runefelt started his crypto career as an active crypto market analyst on YouTube in 2017.[5] He regularly posts market analysis videos on his YouTube channel, “The Moon,”[5] where he discusses market trends, shares information about new cryptocurrencies, and gives tips for new crypto investors.

He regularly invests in startups. In a 2022 interview with Tamara Pupic, Managing Editor of Entrepreneur Middle East, Runefelt revealed his investments as well as commented[6] on the future of the crypto industry:

“I've personally invested in almost 400 crypto startups because I am extremely confident that crypto will dominate the world in the future. It may take another decade before we see mass adoption, which means that there is still a unique opportunity to 'get in early' and invest in many of those companies that will be a dominant factor in the world in the future. That's why I have invested and co-founded multiple crypto entities; for me, it's not enough to only bet my net worth, but my whole being is a big bet on crypto. I'm all in.”

YouTube[edit]

Carl Runefelt is also a singer and songwriter. He started his first YouTube channel in 2011[7] where he uploads covers of popular songs. He plays guitar, piano, and drums, as well as composes and produces his original songs.[8]

Runefelt started his YouTube channel, “The Moon,” in 2017. The channel shares commentary about the technical analysis of Bitcoin for beginners, the latest news, and general crypto market analysis. He launched a third YouTube channel named “Carl Runefelt Vlogs,” where he shares lifestyle vlogs.

cryptojobs.com[edit]

Carl launched cryptojobs.com, a blockchain and crypto-specific job board, in 2022. It is an emerging web3 employment and job hunt portal that connects talents with companies in the web3 space.[9][10]

Personal Life[edit]

Runefelt is a firm believer in the law of attraction. In an interview in 2022,[11] he said:

“It’s easy for me because I have a passion for what I do. This is a sign that the law of attraction is working for you. When what you do is fun and you can make money from it, you’re on the right track. I love making my videos, trading, and investing. I’ve attracted the path of least resistance to my big goals.”

Awards[edit]

Carl Runefelt was awarded the AIBC Digital Innovation Award – Entrepreneur 2024[12][13] at the AIBC Eurasia 2024 Awards held in Dubai, UAE, hosted by the AIBC Summit.[14][15]
