Cetraca Aviation Service is a defunct airline in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The airline only operated domestic routes around Congo. Its operating base is Beni Airport. It closed in March 17, 2024 due to an accident with one of their aircraft and is currently being restarted as of 2024.[1]
History
[edit]The airline was opened in 2003 with a Let L-410 UVP as its fleet, due to an accident in 2012, the airline closed 3 years later in 2015.[1]
The airline was later reopened in 2023.[1] The airline ceased operations again in 17 March, 2024 due to a major accident involving one of their L-410s, causing the airline to lose their certification. The airline is now restarting as of 2024.[1]

[edit]The fleet only consists of 3 L-410 UVP, which 2 have been involved in accidents, one of the L-410s’ registration is unknown.

Accidents and incidents
[edit]- 30 October 2012: A L-410UVP (9Q-CAZ) crashed when the aircraft went off the runway due to a excursion causing the aircraft substantial damages.[5]
- 17 March 2024: A L-410UVP (9S-GBP) crashed when the aircraft went off the runway when the aircraft was caught by strong gust and blown off the runway when landing at Butembo and came to a stop when the right gear collapsed as well as damages to the right wing and the horizontal stabilizer.[6]
