them integrate into the mainstream. The Centre aims to enhance the quality of life for individuals within the community by addressing various issues and promoting sustainable development. It is dedicated to empowering local residents, promoting social and economic development, and enhancing the overall well-being of the community in the valley.

Chinar YUVA Centre, Baramulla is certified by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).[1]. The Centre selects youth, identifies their domain based on aptitude and skills, and exposes them to the industry, preparing them for employment.

Chinar YUVA Baramulla hosts many educational programs, workshops, and training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of community members. This includes literacy programs, job training, and workshops on various topics. The Centre aims to engage youth constructively to dissuade them from activities like stone-pelting and protests, providing them with employment avenues both inside and outside the valley.

History[edit]

Chinar YUVA Centre Baramulla was founded by a group of passionate individuals with a shared vision of creating positive change in their community. This diverse group consisted of teachers, social workers, business owners, and residents committed to improving the quality of life for everyone. Recognizing the need for a centralized hub to address various community needs, they conceptualized the idea of Chinar YUVA. The center would serve as a multifunctional space where residents could access educational resources, social services, and recreational activities. With support from local volunteers, the Indian Army, and ONGC, the vacant building was transformed into a vibrant and welcoming space. Chinar YUVA has inspired similar grassroots community development initiatives across the region[2][3].
