This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). - Comment: If your draft is rejected, you need to deal with the issues named, not just resubmit it without any changes. Suitskvarts (talk) 22:42, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Maybe I missed it but I do not see anything that would amount to significant coverage. There needs to be something that talk about here, not just her providing quotes or other non-independent coverage. CNMall41 (talk) 19:28, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
Christine Bishara is an Egyptian-American internal medicine doctor,[1][2][3] author, and entrepreneur.[4][5] She is the founder of From Within Medical.[6][7][8][9][10]
Career[edit]
Bishara is board certified in Internal Medicine by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons.[11][9][10]She is certified in Integrative Medical Weight Loss by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.[2][12][8] Bishara runs a New York-based integrative medical wellness and weight loss practice, From Within Medical.[7][11] The practice emphasizes the mind-body and gut-brain axis for disease prevention and management.[6][13][14][15]
Bishara is the lead author of a June 2020's published scientific study on identifying a deficiency of a gut microbe, Bifidobacterium, as a cause of COVID severity.[11] The study hypothesized why children are more protected from severe COVID-related illnesses than adults.[1] It states that children's gut contains much higher concentrations of Bifidobacterium, a beneficial gut microbe that down-regulates the pro-inflammatory mediators leading to COVID severity.[15]
As an intermittent fasting expert, Bishara has been quoted on fasting benefits in Health Central.[2][8] She is quoted on wellness and gut health by HuffPost.[3] She's appeared on podcasts, including Nada Baeshen,[16] Her Step Forward,[17] and Sessions With Sarah.[12][18]
Bishara is the creator of the Virtual Peel, a medical-grade face peel consultation accessed through virtual step-by-step medical guidance.[19] She is also the Canada Pharmacy Online Ambassador.[20][21]
