Cindy Xu is a Chinese-Australian jewellery designer.
Designer awards[edit]
At the 2019 International Jewellery & Watch Fair held in Sydney, Xu won the 2019 opal jewellery designer award.[1] The piece ‘Icy Conversation’ was chosen as the finalist among many submission.
This opal brooch captures a moment of enchanting dialogue between a fish and a polar bear, on the ever shrinking glacier. The urgency of their conversation echoes the fragile balance of our planet.
The opal intricately captures the essence of the ocean, while mother-of-pearl and diamonds symbolize the glaciers in their delicate splendor.
