Sid Meier's Civilization VII is an upcoming turn-based 4X-strategy video game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K. It is scheduled for full release on February 11, 2025, for Steam, Epic Games, PS5 and PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.[1]

History and Development

On February 13, 2023, following Heather Hazen's new position as head of the studio, Firaxis officially announced the development of the next mainline game in the Civilization franchise.[2] The game was announced at Summer Game Fest on June 7, 2024, featuring a full cinematic trailer and a release date set for 2025.[3]

Full reveal trailer released on August 20, 2024, revealed the release date on February 11, 2025.
