Crossroads – The Macedonian Foreign Policy Journal, published by the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Macedonian Information Centre, aims at promoting the country and strengthening its public diplomacy through publishing high-quality articles addressing important foreign policy issues.[1]
The first edition of Crossroads was promoted on 22 December 2006, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Macedonian independence and the adoption of the first constitution of the country.[2]
The Editorial Board of the journal was constituted of Ambassador Pajo Avirovic, the chief of Department of Public Diplomacy, Ambassador Ivica Bocevski, Ambassador Darko Angelov, Ambassador Igor Popovski, the senior diplomat Maciej Kaczorowski and Ambassador Ljuben Tevdovski, lecturer of Public Diplomacy at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[3]
The first edition of Crossroads in December 2006 included articles written by the first President of the independent Macedonian state Kiro Gligorov, the first Prime Minister Nikola Kljusev, the American Ambassador Gillian Milovanovic, the chairwoman of the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with the Countries of South-East Europe, Doris Pack, the Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Umberto Vattani, and other statesmen and diplomats.[3]
