- Comment: Both sources are from companies/organisations that from what I can tell are directly producing such robots (correct me if I'm wrong on this, but either way the 2 sources are definitely not WP:SECONDARY). We need secondary & independent sources to demonstrate notability, and in turn whether an article on this is needed. Also the content is a bit short right now. A cylindrical coordinate robot, or cylindrical robot, is a type of industrial robot. Cylindrical coordinate robots operate based on a cylindrical coordinate system.
Function[edit]
Cylindrical coordinate robots have a twisting (T) joint and two linear movements. The robotic arm can move vertically on its axis, as well as extend and retract. The twisting joint rotates the robot.[1]
Usage[edit]
Cylindrical coordinate robots are primarily used for assembly operations, spot welding, handling at machine tools and handling at die casting machines.[2]
