Draft:D'Abenon family

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The d'Abenon family (c. 1086c. 1400, also spelled d'Abernon) were a notable gentry lineage in medieval England. They were established as knights holding lands dating back to 1086 and increased their estates over the centuries. Based in Surrey, the d'Abenons emerged as prominent figures within local circles, and the village of Stoke d'Abernon in Surrey is named after the family.[1]
