Daesaja[1] (大使者) is one of the official ranks of the late Goguryeo period. Also known as Daesang[2] (大奢), he was ranked 6th out of 14 ranks in the late Goguryeo period, and was one of China's 4 highest ranks.

In the case of Goguryeo, its existence appears in 『 Samguksagi , the main chronicle of King Gogukcheon, and in <<Samgukji>> Wiji Dongijeon, Daesaja[3], who was also called a dog official as a government official in Buyeo, is mentioned as the next high-ranking official, so Goguryeo was influenced by Buyeo . appears to have been received.

It was derived from 'Lion' (使者) along with [4]Taedaesaja[5] , [6]Suwisaja,and Sojasaja[7] [8]. Saja was originally a bureaucrat with a vassal character attached to the chieftain, but in the process of Goguryeo's transformation into a centralized aristocratic state, it is thought that it grew into an administrative bureaucrat and was reorganized into several lions according to their status.

According to Wijo, the Goguryeo people who fled to Silla after the fall of Goguryeo, they were awarded the post of police officer of Silla in the 6th year of King Sinmun ( 686 ). The Jongdaesang (從大相), who received Silla's official rank along with the Grand Master, is considered to be the same as the Daesangja .
