Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio LyricalGenes (July 18, 2001) is an American rapper, songwriter, music producer, author, and entrepreneur from Cleveland, Ohio[4]. With a relentless and professional attitude that promotes a more positive message, LyricalGenes creates material based on his experiences. He has received online co-signed by The Black Eyed Peas and Chris Brown's music producer, Kanye West's engineer, and by the sound engineer who facilitated the music for Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse[5]. LyricalGenes is also the owner of record label Boyz II Business Entertainment[1][6][7].

Early Life[edit]

LyricalGenes attended Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School[8]. Here, he played basketball[9] and ran track[10]. In track, he broke the 100m and 200m school records[11] and would be published in the News Herald for making school history as well as a mention in regard to his music career[12]. Later, Burtin would graduate from Cuyahoga Community College as an Honors Student[13]. At Tri-C, Dana Burtin would receive a feature in Tri-C's Times Magazine[14] acknowledging Burtin's accolades in writing and music[15]. He was featured on Fox 8 News for making the Cleveland Browns hype song, "Motivated"[16].

While in high school, Dana Burtin posted his first video in 2017 by taking part in the SoGoneChallenge[17]. In the same year, Burtin would go by the name "LyricalGenes" and release his first official music video entitled, "Brainstorm"[18].

The American entrertainment industry trade publication Backstage featured Burtin in their February 2022 magazine publication[19].
