Daniel Maté is a Canadian composer, lyricist, and playwright for musical theatre based in BC and New York.[1] He is also known for his work with his father Gabor Maté, including a workshop and podcast under the name "Hello Again: A Fresh Start for Parents and Their Adult Children," as well as an announced co-authored book. [2]

Sometimes with his father and brother Aaron, he has been outspoken as a Jewish anti-Zionist and pro-Palestine activist. Particularly since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas War, he has been appearing in a number of podcasts and livestreamed conversations with people including his family, and Jewish and Palestinian activists.
