Daryl D. Green (born February 5, 1966) is an American writer, academic and leadership development expert.[1] He is a member of the Academy of Strategic Management Journal.[2] Green has served as an adjunct professor at Lincoln Memorial University and as a faculty member at Knoxville College.[3][4][5][6]
Early life and education
[edit]Daryl D. Green was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University in 1989, followed by a master's degree in Organizational Management from Tusculum College in 1997.[7][8][9] Green completed his Doctorate in Strategic leadership from Regent University in 2009.[9][10][11]
Career
[edit]Green has worked for Department of Energy (DOE) as a program manager since May 1989.[7][9][8][10] He later joined Oklahoma Baptist University, where he served as a faculty member and was appointed to the Dickinson Chair of Business in the Paul Dickinson School of Business.[12][13][14][15][16] In August 2016, Green was formally installed in academic positions at OBU's annual Convocation service.[16]
He has published articles on decision-making and leadership[12][7][5] and authored several books, including "My Cup Runneth Over",[17] "Impending Danger" and "Small Business Marketing".[18]
Green is a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Oklahoma City[19] and was previously associated with Payne Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he served as an ordained deacon and Bible lecturer.[20][21] Green co-founded the Greater East Pasco Achievement Program, a nonprofit organization that provides tutorial services to students in Washington State.[3][6] He is also a former Vice President of the Oak Ridge BIG Chapter in Tennessee[10] and a lifetime member of BIG.[3]
In 2024, Green was appointed Dean of Langston University Business School.[22][18][23]
