The Digital Wellness Institute is an American company headquartered in Lewisville, TX known for its advocacy of digital wellness.

History and company information[edit][edit]

The Digital Wellness Institute was co-founded in 2020 by Amy Blankson, Nina Hersher, Sophie Janicke-Bowles, and Tyler Rice[1]. The Digital Wellness Institute is known for creating a model for Digital Flourishing[2].

The Digital Wellness Institute hosts Digital Wellness Day, an annual celebration taking place on the first Friday of May each year to help build awareness about the importance of digital wellness.[3]

In 2021, the Digital Wellness Institute was named the Grand Prize Winner of the IDEO Designing for Digital Thriving Challenge by Riot Games, the Susan Crown Exchange, the Fair Play Alliance, the The Joan Ganz Cooney Center, and IDEO.[4]

In 2023, the Digital Wellness Institute recognized Virginia Tech as the first certified "Digitally Well University" in the world, and ATB Financial as the first certified "Digitally Well Company" in the world.[5], [6]

In 2024, the Digital Wellness Institute partnered with Fast Company to recognize the world's most Digitally Balanced Workplaces.[7]
