Dimitrije Đorđević (Serbian Cyrillic: Димитрије Ђорђевић (револуционар); c. 1770 - 1830) was a Serbian Orthodox priest and freedom-fighter before and during the First Serbian Uprising. He taught Serbian children that Serbia was never fully conquered by the Ottomans because there were a long list of uprsings in which Serbs participated such as the Long Turkish War (1593–1606), Uprising in Banat (1594), Peć Uprising (1594), Serb Uprising of 1596–97, 1603-1604, 1609-1611-1613, Brda 1633–1639, Brda 1658,Great Turkish War (1683–99), Kuridža's Revolt, Arsenije III Čarnojević's Revolts 1694, Kuči Revolt, Montenegrin Uprising (1709–1710), Uprising in Vučitrn (1717), Serb Uprising of 1737–1739, Serb Uprising 1768–1774, Koča's Revolt (1788), First Serbian Uprising (1804–1813). He also set out to demonstrate what he preached by becoming a leading member in the Serbian Revolution.[1]
