Distant View of Niagara Falls is an oil painting created by American painter Thomas Cole (1801-1848) in 1830. The painting depicts Niagara Falls in autumn, with two Native American figures at the center.[1][1]

Thomas Cole visited in Niagara falls in May 1829, then composing the scene in the following year.[1] Now, this art lives at The Art Institute of Chicago.[2]
