Draganov, whose real name is Adnan Mahyou, is a Moroccan rapper and producer from Oujda, Morocco.[1][2]

Biography[edit]

In the ancient streets of Oujda, a city rich in cultural heritage and a crossroads of civilizations and various sounds, Adnan, known as Draganov, found an array of influences that shaped his artistic choices.

Adnan's academic journey in Oujda, from primary school to higher education, combined knowledge with practical skills and a way of life. In 2014, he decided to devote his life to music, the same year he won the Mawazine award in the rap category.[3]

His path began to take shape within the walls of his first studio in Oujda, which became a hip-hop haven for young people, offering them a space for expression and gaining national recognition.

In 2017, Draganov stepped out of his comfort zone and moved to Casablanca to focus on music production as a producer and artistic director. He built a solid reputation and strong connections with artists in Morocco's largest city. Draganov's musical projects, infused with the creative spirit and musical heritage of the East, achieved significant success, exceeding observers' expectations. His notable collaborations included working with ElgrandeToto on the album "Cameleon," as well as with Asmae Charifi, Manal Benchlikha, Spleux, 7liwa, Tagne, Jaylaan, Maria Nadim, and others.[4]

Between 2017 and 2020, Draganov released three successful albums: "SLLM," "Khissous v2," and "#DRAGAGALESSFDAR."[5][6]

Following this period, Draganov became highly renowned in the Moroccan advertising industry, signing contracts with major brands to create their musical identities.

In 2022, Draganov released his new album "Colors," which explores themes of dreams, success, and failures. The album achieved great success, amassing over 35 million streams in its first weeks and featuring collaborations with artists like Dollypran, Inkonnu, Stormy, Tagne, and the renowned Gnaoui star Hamid El Kesri, enhancing the spiritual touch and lyrical depth of his latest work.[7]

Draganov has participated in several festivals in Morocco, gaining widespread popularity as a rapper, producer, and artistic director. He aims to contribute to the development of traditional Moroccan music and create a cultural industry that transcends borders, promoting Morocco's cultural diversity and richness.[8][9]

Jalas F'dar - Released during a period of reflection, this album included tracks like "M'ak" and "Tabak," which resonated with his audience for their emotional depth.

Alwan - A colorful and diverse album where Draganov collaborated with various prominent names in Moroccan rap, highlighting his versatility and ability to evolve with the changing music landscape.
