- Comment: Please add more references/reviews of the game/series. Also promotional in several places which needs to be toned down: "crafting its distinct path through the years", "Dream League Soccer set itself apart", "unique football gaming experience", "its distinct position in the mobile gaming market", "fostering a community that values the creative freedom it offers", "contribute to its enduring appeal". Dream League Soccer is an association football video game, developed by First Touch Games. The game was initially released in 2011. Since the release, a new version of the game has been released yearly, similar to titles such as FIFA.[1]
Introduced in 2011, Dream League Soccer set itself apart by providing users with a unique football gaming experience, allowing them to craft and personalize teams, players, and even stadiums. Notably, the game chose to only secure official FIFPRO™ licences for players, leaving the official teams out. In doing so, players are put in a world where they must create their own team and philosophy in order to succeed in the game.[2]
While Dream League Soccer may not boast the sales figures of heavyweight console titles like FIFA[3], its distinct position in the mobile gaming market is characterized by the absence of official licenses, fostering a community that values the creative freedom it offers.
Its reliance on user customization, regular updates, and entry into the esports arena contribute to its enduring appeal within the dynamic landscape of mobile football gaming. Dream League Soccer is available on both iOS and Android platforms.
Gameplay[edit]
The Dream League Soccer (as well as First Touch Soccer) game series places the player in a world where all domestic leagues have been abolished. Teams from all around Europe are placed into an 8-division promotion-relegation league system. Players will then need to choose their captain and give a name to their team. This marks the start of the game.
