Nikita's career started in 2012, when the young singer started taking part in many contests and taking 1st place in many of them. In 2017, he went on his first big show Ukraine's Got Talent Season 9, where he didn't pass the first round. Later that year, he tried at Ukrainian Voice Kids 4, where he still didn't get a chance for the further participation. In 2018, he played in musical "Lichtarius. Tales Come Alive" placed in Kyiv, Ukraine, after which he then took part in Ukrainian Voice Kids 5 becoming one of the finalists.

Nikita didn't stop on Voice and took part in the National Election for Junior Eurovision 2020 where he took 4th place. 2020 was the year of his songwriting development when he took a break from the TV-Shows in order to develop his career as an artist. In 2022, he released his first single "Everybody Dance"[1] which gave him a big jump as an artist. That same year, in September he released his second single "You're Stuck"[2] and in November his first album "when you with me"[3] came out. After that, he moved to London, Canada and after a 9-month pause in releasing any music he published an alternative-indie-jazz song called "Never Let Me Go"[4] that became an opening for his future same-style projects. In September 2023, he came out with an upbeat single "July 29th"[5]. Later that fall, his last promo-single "Fallen Star.mp3"[6] came out with the announcement of the new album, where the latest release became a lead-single. Mid-December the second album "Let Me Tell You" was released having 14 songs in it which is twice more than in a first one. At the same time, dzhydi decided to explain the meanings of the songs and the concept of the album[7]. His latest release "Gumusservi"[8] came out mid-June with the music video[9] accompanying 2 weeks later is his biggest project at the moment: "At this point, this was my biggest project and I’m really happy that now YOU can watch it too. This experience was so exciting and fun for me, and now I know what I will be doing more in the future as an additional part for my upcoming songs" , shares the singer on his Instagram[10].

Maksymovych, Nikita Achkasov was born on June 28, 2006 in Kyiv, Ukraine. When he was 7 he went to school and decided to take piano lessons in music school besides the usual school. On the second year of music school he switched to a more professional one where he started taking vocal lessons as a second speciality. On the 5th year of study, he switched the usual school to homeschooling so that he had more time for music. In 2019, he decided to graduate the music school on the 6th year of education. In 2 years after finishing the 9th year of school, he went to study in the Glière Music College. During his education in the academy, he switched his usual schools twice and finished his secondary education with all the perfect marks. In 2024 after he moved to Canada, Nikita decides to drop it the music college on the 3rd year of the education since the time difference made it difficult to attend the online classes.

Career: 2012-2017[edit]

In 2012, Nikita started taking part in many contests, festivals, and concerts, winning 1st or 2nd places, an sometimes even Grand-Prix. Participating in such events gave him a chance to get used to audience and become a real artist. This skill later helped him in Ukraine's Got Talent Kids 2 (Season 9) in 2017, which was the first ever show he participated in. He came with song "You Raise Me Up"[12] by Josh Groban[13], but luck wasn't on his side and he didn't pass it to the 2nd round. Later that year, young singer participated in the Blind Auditions on the Ukrainian Voice Kids 4, but juries didn't turn to him and he wasn't shown on the broadcasting. Instead, they told him to get more prepared and come back for the next year. In the winter of 2017 he participated in Election from Kyiv for Bright Children of Ukraine contest, where he took 2nd place.

Career: 2018-2021[edit]

12-year old Nikita went on the auditions for the musical "Lichtarius. Tales Come Alive" for the role of the Lion King[14] (2018). People really liked his performances and were giving him big rounds of applauses, including many famous Ukrainian singers, actors, and TV-hosts. After a quite big success within the show, singer decided to give Voice Kids a second chance and took part in the 5th season (2019). Achkasov prepared "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" by Elton John[15], which became his signature song from the musical, for the Blind Auditions[16] and amazed all juries so they all turned to him. His choice was very difficult since the jury composition included Jamala, Vremya i Steklo, and Dzidzio, but he stopped at Jamala. On the battles, he participated with other two of his teammates: Angelina Terennikova and Anna Vladova, singing "7 Rings"[17] by Ariana Grande[18] and winning this battle he goes to the next round. For the knockouts, Nikita prepared "Never Enough"[19] from "The Greatest Showman"[20] and his performance made the other juries nervous because that performance immediately became one of the audiences favourite performances on the show. His performance was that strong that he made it to the finals, where he performed "Your Song"[21] originally written and performed by Elton John[22]. Before the voting closing, he with his teammate Varvara Koshova and their coach Jamala performed "Rybki"[23] all together by Alyona Alyona[24]. Unfortunately, he didn't make it further, but he was very supportive of his teammate. Young artist didn't stop on Voice and continued participating in other shows. His next project was National Election for Junior Eurovision 2020 where he performed "Hello" written by KRUTЬ and ADAM specially for contestants who decided to sing a cover. Taking 4th place, he doesn't get a chance in the future participation in the Multinational contest and decides to take a pause in the shows. Instead, he goes into songwriting and starts to learn how to produce the music and how to rhyme. Joining the music college in 2021, he felt more inspired and continued learning more about the song production and writing his first demos.

Career: 2022-Present[edit]

Besides the songwriting development, Nikita still participates in concerts including the ones supporting Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War, which was the reason of his temporal departure to Germany. In Germany, he decides to release his first single "Everybody Dance"[1] under the stage name "dzhydi" on May 30, 2022. It became a huge step into the music industry as a solo artist for him. After returning to Ukraine, dzhydi continues writing music and releases a newer single on September 26 that same year called "You're Stuck"[2] that became the second promotion-single for his upcoming album "when you with me"[3] which came out on November 29 of 2022. After that release, he took a 9-month pause given by moving to Canada and when he got stable there, he resumed writing music. In 2023 he presented another song called "Never Let Me Go"[4] on June 28 in a completely different style compared to the previous releases. As the singer says, "Never Let Me Go" is about the oscillation between admitting your feelings and hiding them out of fear of losing someone[25]. The jazzy-alternative-styled song was later accompanied by a new single "July 29th"[5] that has an entirely opposite emotion. The upbeat song was published on September 14, 2023 and its meaning is not caring about all the bad things that surround you and liking being lonely[25]. In a couple of months, on November 5 the final promo-single called "Fallen Star.mp3"[6] comes out which is about his experience of life during the war through the prism of galaxy themes[25]. On the day of the last single release, dzhydi announced the album called "Let Me Tell You" that was released on December 15, 2023. Talking about the meanings of the songs on the album, the producer says, "It feels like this title fits this album the best. Almost every song has its own message, story. And also this is the first line of "Never Let Me Go" which gave me an idea of the whole album."[25] The latest release from dzhydi is a song "Gumusservi"[8], which was released June 14, 2024. In two weeks, the official music video[9] comes out and it became a huge jump for the artist. As Nikita says, "At this point, this was my biggest project and I’m really happy that now YOU can watch it too. This experience was so exciting and fun for me, and now I know what I will be doing more in the future as an additional part for my upcoming songs."[10]
