eSanjeevani – India’s National Telemedicine Service[edit]

Bridging the gap in healthcare access across India, eSanjeevani is the Government of India's pioneering telemedicine initiative. This revolutionary program stands tall as the world's largest platform for delivering primary healthcare services remotely. eSanjeevani empowers citizens, particularly those in remote and underserved areas, to connect with doctors virtually, ensuring timely medical consultations and improved health outcomes.

eSanjeevani is intrinsically linked to several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making a significant contribution to their achievement. Primarily,  it drives progress towards SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by expanding access to quality healthcare, especially in underserved communities. This accessibility reduces health disparities and facilitates the timely management of chronic conditions. eSanjeevani also supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by leveraging telemedicine technology to optimize healthcare delivery  and reduce the strain on existing infrastructure. Furthermore, through initiatives like doctor-to-doctor teleconsultations,  eSanjeevani fosters partnerships (SDG 17), contributing to a  more integrated healthcare system in India.
