Echo Labs is an American AI research lab headquartered in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2023, the company mainly focuses on creating artificial intelligence aids for the d/Deaf, hard-of-hearing and the blind and visually impaired.
Overview
[edit]Echo Labs was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California. It was founded by Edward Aguilar (CEO) and Sahan Reddy.[1][2][3][4] The company raised $2 million in pre-seed funding during 2023.[5][6][7]
The company's flagship product is CASPER, primarily used in educational institutions. It is the first AI-based captioning system capable of achieving accuracy in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.[8][9][10]
In January 2024, Echo Labs secured an additional $7.4 million in pre-seed funding.[11][12][13]
