Edward Francis Carter (March 11, 1897 – December 22, 1981)[1] was a justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court from 1935 to 1971.

Born in O'Neill, Nebraska, Carter graduated from Beaver City High School in 1915 and received an LL.B. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1919.[1]
