El Mundo & Zazou (hence: E&Z) is the stage name of Pim Van Der Burgt and Jaschar Vossoug, who produce and perform electronic dance music in the genres of Organic House, Melodic House, and Progressive House.[1]. The duo ist based in Berlin and Amsterdam, and is represented by the France-based agency Sparklerstribe[2].

Music Career[edit]

El Mundo grew up in the Netherlands, and started out as a DJ in the late 90's, playing Hard Trance and Techno, which later evolved into Defected House and Tech House[3]. In that phase he started producing his own songs, both solo and as part of various collaborations. Before he co-founded the duo, El Mundo had adopted a more soulful and melodic style, which would later shape E&Z's signature sound[4].

Zazou grew up and is based in Berlin. He is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and autodidactic vocalist[5]. Starting out as a guitar and piano player in his childhood, he composed songs in the styles of Bossa Nova, Funk, and Pop. Zazou delved into electronic music in his early 30's[6]. Today he focusses on hardware-based productions in the styles of Electronica, Melodic Techno, and Progressive House[7].

E&Z release most of their works on their own label Quetame Records[8]
